Brooklyn, NY -State Senator Kevin Parker, Chair of the New York State Senate Energy and Telecommunications Committee, commended Con Edison and the New York State Public Service Commission for an $810 million investment in the region's transition to clean energy. Announcement of this investment was made at the launch of their Brooklyn Clean Energy Hub, a crucial substation that will cater to the connections necessary for offshore wind power while maintaining Con Edison's commitment to providing reliable service. Notably, this project is anticipated to generate over 500 skilled labor jobs during its peak construction phase, adding to the regional employment opportunities.
Speaking about this significant development, Senator Parker expressed his appreciation for Con Edison's dedication to a clean energy future.
