Brooklyn, NY – Senator Kevin Parker proudly partnered with NYS Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn, NYC Council Member Rita Joseph, and AARP to host the highly successful Summer Shred Event. This free event occurred on August 19 at the Salem Missionary Baptist Church and offered invaluable services to the local community. The Summer Shred Event aimed to provide the public with a convenient and secure way to dispose of sensitive and outdated documents. Residents had the opportunity to safely discard personal documents, thus protecting themselves from identity theft and fraud. The event also emphasized the importance of environmentally responsible recycling practices.

The event received an overwhelming response from the public, with hundreds of attendees benefiting from the secure shredding services provided by AARP. The organizing team strictly followed all necessary health and safety protocols throughout the event.
