Senator Kristen Gonzalez Responds to Ongoing Violence in Israel and Palestine

Senator Gonzalez said, "I will never celebrate the loss of innocent lives, and I am disturbed by any support of such violence. I am horrified by Hamas’ brutality toward Israeli civilians, and I condemn—in the strongest terms possible—all violence against civilians.  Right now, my heart is filled with grief for the hundreds of Palestinians and Israelis who have been killed, and my thoughts are with those in my district who have lost loved ones, who are hurting, and who are scared. As a democratic socialist, I am committed to safety, dignity, and self-determination for all people. My belief in the humanity of every person is at the core of everything I stand for. The better world I’m working to build has no room for terror, occupation, or oppression. I am proud to stand with my comrades around the world to continue the struggle for a just and lasting peace."
