NY Legislators Call Upon New York State Public Service Commission to Protect Consumers Against Exorbitant Rate Increases Proposed by NYSEG and RG&E and Address Rampant Billing Issues Impacting Customers Across Upstate New York

BINGHAMTON, NY - While yesterday’s three-year rate plan approved by the Public Service Commission reduced NYSEG’s original proposal by 50%, any increase in utility costs represents a financial burden for working families and businesses in the Southern Tier. As the state advances its climate goals, we are committed to finding common-sense solutions to protect ratepayers and provide energy affordability.
