Landmark Legislation Approved: Countries Could Enter into Driver's License Agreements with New York, Dominican Republic Leads the Way

The New York Senate and Assembly have taken a historic step towards the homologation of the Dominican driver's license by approving bill S4329A. This legislative achievement is the result of joint efforts between the Dominican Senate and the New York Senate, sowing a seed of collaboration that has led the New York State to open up to all countries in the world regarding driver's license homologation.
This bill, approved by the New York Senate and Assembly, represents a significant milestone for the Dominican community settled in the state and marks a before and after in their lives. It also sets a prominent precedent nationally, as New York becomes the first state in the United States to complete a project of this magnitude.
Senator Alexis Victoria Yeb, representative of the María Trinidad Sánchez province, and Senator Luis Sepúlveda, from the 32nd district of the Bronx, express their profound gratitude to Senators Kennedy and Skoufis of New York, as well as to the impressive leadership of New York Assembly Deputy Speaker Phil Ramos and Assemblymember Manny De Los Santos for their tireless efforts in making this unprecedented legislation possible.
