Senator Helming Announces Tammy Ryndock, Wayne County Undersheriff, is 2023 Woman of Distinction

Senator Pam Helming announced that Tammy Ryndock has been named the 2023 Woman of Distinction for the 54th Senate District, as part of the New York State Senate Women of Distinction program.
Tammy Ryndock was sworn in as Undersheriff of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in 2022, the first woman to hold the position. She is a 25-year member of law enforcement. She began serving with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in 2000, beginning as a field training officer and over the years, earning promotions to the rank of Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, and Detective Lieutenant.
Undersheriff Ryndock has specialized in investigating crimes against children, a high responsibility that she calls her passion. Three years ago, she was sworn in as a Deputy U.S. Marshal and assigned to a regional FBI child exploitation/human trafficking task force.
Undersheriff Ryndock serves as an advisory board member and multidisciplinary team member of the Wayne County Child Advocacy Center, and also serves on the advisory board of the Survivor Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes.
A resident of the Town of Huron, Undersheriff Ryndock is a proud member of a law enforcement family, and the proud mom of two daughters, Taylor, 27, and Hailey, 20.
