SENATOR SEAN RYAN HONORS REVOLUTION BUFFALO AS MARCH ‘SMALL BUSINESS OF THE MONTH’
Nomination Window for April Award Open Until April 21
BUFFALO – Today, March 31, 2023, New York State Senator Sean Ryan announced that Revolution Buffalo has been selected as the 61st Senate District Small Business of the Month for March. In recognition of their commitment to giving back to the community, Senator Ryan will present Revolution’s owners with a New York State Senate Empire Award.
Revolution hosts dozens of charity rides annually, benefiting local causes and organizations including GLYS WNY, MOCHA Buffalo, Bison Fund, Haven House, and Girls on the Run. They recently participated in Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s IceCycle fundraising event, helping raise $60,000 for Roswell Park. In February, they hosted the Buffalo ride for the Parkinson’s Foundation’s annual Revolution indoor cycling fundraising event and helped raise $41,000 for research toward a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
A women-owned and operated indoor cycling and fitness center, Revolution Buffalo was opened in 2014 “to bring upscale, boutique fitness to Buffalo in an approachable, authentic, community-driven way.” In order to achieve that goal, Revolution partners with local businesses for the goods they sell and the products they utilize in their facility. In 2022, they created a part-time position dedicated to creating relationships in the surrounding neighborhoods in order to find ways to bring fitness to people who may not be able to afford their services.
Senator Ryan will continue to highlight businesses that deserve special recognition for their contributions to the Western New York community throughout 2023. To nominate a business for the April award, individuals should fill out the nomination form here or at ryan.nysenate.gov by Friday, April 21.
