STATEMENT FROM SENATOR SEAN RYAN ON COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT
BUFFALO – Today, January 4, 2023, New York State Senator Sean Ryan released the following statement regarding his appointment as Chair of the New York State Senate Committee on Commerce, Economic Development, and Small Business:
“It is my honor to be entrusted with the chairmanship of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Economic Development, and Small Business. I thank Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins for this appointment and for her continued leadership. This committee’s role has become particularly important during New York’s recovery from the economic effects of the pandemic, and it is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. As I have said many times before, I believe that the key to making our state a better place for all New Yorkers is a persistent focus on creating and maintaining good-paying jobs. As chair of this committee, I look forward to continuing my work to advance policies that encourage this type of high-road economic development and support small businesses in communities across our state.”
