Senator Rhoads Slams Albany Democrats for Budget Extender

"Today, Albany Democrats proved why one-party rule is failing New Yorkers. Albany Democrats pushed through a temporary budget extender until April 10th even though the New York State budget was due on April 1st. Albany Democrats continue to kick the can and fail to address their disastrous cashless bail laws, soaring inflation, the failing MTA, and sky-high taxes. Although today’s budget extender was good to ensure the hardworking state employees get their well-earned paychecks, it’s embarrassing that Albany Democrats can’t deliver an on-time budget that makes New York safer, stronger, more affordable, and more free. We were elected to work for the people of New York and the Democrats have shown they can’t manage the State effectively and get the job done for the taxpayers,” said Senator Rhoads
