Tedisco and McDonald Honor NYS Champion Waterford-Halfmoon Girls Soccer Team at State Capitol

Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston Lake) and Assemblyman John McDonald (D-Cohoes) today welcomed to the New York State Capitol and honored with a legislative resolution they passed into law, the New York State Class C State Champion Waterford-Halfmoon Union Free School District Girls Soccer Team.
This is the Waterford-Halfmoon High School Girls Soccer Team’s second-in-a-row state championship.
The Waterford-Halfmoon High School Girls Soccer Team and Head Coach Meghan Reynolds captured the New York State Class C Girls Soccer Championship with a 2-2 double-overtime tie with Mount Academy to secure their share of the state title on November 12, 2023, at Homer High School in Homer, NY.
Prior to their success at the State Level, the Fordians won the Wasaren League, Section II and Regional Championships compiling an outstanding overall record of 19-1-3.
The Fordians are also a New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete Team, as they garnered an overall team grade point average of 95.9.
