Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston Lake) today welcomed United States Military Academy at West Point Cadet Micaela Choi of Burnt Hills to the Senate Chamber as part of the legislature’s annual West Point Day ceremony at the Capitol.
Cadet Choi is majoring in systems engineering at West Point. She is the Officer’s Christian Fellowship Worship Leader, a member of the Army Taekwondo Club and Club Beyond Younglife Leader.
As the child of two West Point graduates, Cadet Choi was able to see first-hand the type of outstanding individuals the Army and especially West Point produced. Cadet Choi said she wants to be like the caring leaders of character that her parents were. This paired with Cadet Choi’s desire to serve our country in a serious time of need, greatly influenced her decision to go to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
“It’s my honor to welcome from the 44th Senate District, West Point Cadet Micaela Choi of Burnt Hills to our beautiful state Capitol and salute her and all the members of the best, brightest and most compassionate fighting force for good on Earth: the men and women of the United States Military,” said Senator Jim Tedisco.
