(ROCHESTER, NY) - Today, Senator Jeremy Cooney (D-Rochester) announced $1,523,305 through the New York State Aid for Library Construction program for both the Greece and Rochester Public Library systems. These funds are a part of the $34 million in capital funds for public library construction and broadband infrastructure projects Senator Cooney helped secure in the FY 2023-2024 State Budget.
“Our public libraries provide a space for community members of all ages to gather and learn,” said Senator Jeremy Cooney. “With these funds, libraries across our area will be able to complete much-needed renovation projects and ensure they can continue serving Monroe County residents to the best of their ability for years to come.”
