Brooklyn, NY – With tax season foremost on everyone’s mind, State Senator Kevin Parker has announced a comprehensive resource guide which highlights available tax breaks, rebates and benefits for eco-improvements to the community. With a focus on making green initiatives financially accessible, these incentives aim to empower New Yorkers to embrace sustainable practices while saving money.

Ratepayer Benefits for Energy Efficiency
Offers financial support for energy-saving improvements to primary residences in low- and moderate-income households. By reducing energy consumption families can save money while contributing to a cleaner environment.
Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) for EV Purchases
The IRA provides up to $7,500 in credit for light-duty electric vehicles (EVs) making the transition to clean transportation more affordable for all.
NYS Drive Clean Rebate for EVs
Electric vehicles not only reduce emissions but also offer long-term cost savings and a modern driving experience. New Yorkers can enjoy up to $2,000 off the purchase price of a new EV through the NYS Drive Clean Rebate.
High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate Act (HEEHRA)
HEEHRA provides point-of-sale rebates to enable low- and moderate-income households to electrify their homes. This initiative aims to lower energy bills, improve indoor air quality and reduce carbon emissions.
Heating, Cooling, and Ventilation Support
Businesses can access support for installing clean heating and cooling technologies, promoting energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Refundable credits are available for those utilizing bio heating fuel for residential purposes within New York State.
Solar Benefits for Homes and Businesses
New York offers various incentives for solar installations, aligning with the Clean Energy Standard and the state's commitment to renewable energy.
Senator Parker encourages residents and businesses to take advantage of these incentives, especially the IRA which he pointed out “is not just an investment in our environment but in the financial well-being of New Yorkers. He emphasizing New York's position as a leader in solar energy adoption and made the call to action for all New Yorkers to “drive toward a cleaner, greener future."
