Brooklyn, NY- Underscoring a shared vision for a resilient and empowered local non-profit sector, State Senator Kevin Parker joined forces with Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn, Councilmembers Rita Joseph and Farah N. Louis for a highly successful Non-Profit Grant Funding Information Session held on January 12.
Senator Parker emphasized the importance of the collaborative initiative stating: "Our collective commitment to supporting local non-profits reflects our understanding of their vital role in community development. This session was a practical step toward empowering these organizations to thrive and in turn, strengthen our community,” he added.
The session covered various topics including available grant opportunities, insights into the application process and facilitated networking among non-profit leaders and potential collaborators. The event held at the Flatbush YMCA proved instrumental in providing crucial resources and guidance to community-based organizations equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate grant funding opportunities.
Such events are crucial for fostering unity, providing essential resources, and creating a platform for community leaders to come together, share knowledge, and build lasting partnerships.
