New York State Senator Kristen Gonzalez’s Statement on the Indictment of NYC Mayor Eric Adams

- Mayor Eric Adams
NEW YORK CITY, NY – It’s time for Eric Adams to resign. These charges, including bribery, conspiracy, and fraud, are deeply concerning, far-reaching, and will impede the mayor’s ability to act in the best interest of New Yorkers and serve our city.
New Yorkers are facing too many challenges and crises to wait for this case to play out. Our stalled city operations and our cost-of-living, housing, and climate crises are putting working families at risk and pushing many out of NYC. Subjecting our most vulnerable neighbors seeking relief to the chaos of an executive administration focused on a federal court case is unacceptable.
Eric Adams should put the good of our city before his desire to remain in office so that we can have a functional government working towards the better New York City we all deserve.
