ITHACA, NY – Today, Senator Lea Webb announced that she has secured $120,000 in state funds to support vital infrastructure projects at the Kitchen Theatre Company (KTC). This significant investment will enable the organization to renovate its lobby, enhancing the overall experience for audiences and ensuring the theatre continues to serve as a dynamic cultural hub for the Ithaca community.
Founded in 1991, the Kitchen Theatre Company has been a leader in creating bold, thought-provoking theatre that engages the community and sparks important conversations. Over its 30-year history, KTC has produced over 200 plays, including 34 world premieres, and has consistently challenged audiences to see the world differently. With this funding, KTC will be able to continue its mission by providing a more welcoming and accessible environment for both artists and patrons. Senator Webb's investment highlights her dedication to supporting local organizations that enrich the cultural fabric of the Southen Tier.
