Senator Lea Webb Secures $100,000 for the Village of Port Dickinson's Water Main Replacement Project

PORT DICKINSON, NY Today, Senator Lea Webb announced the allocation of $100,000 in state funding to support critical infrastructure upgrades in the Village of Port Dickinson. This funding will be instrumental in the replacement of the Village's aging water main, ensuring the community has access to a more reliable and efficient water supply system.

The water main replacement project, currently underway on Rochelle Road, addresses the urgent need to modernize the Village's water infrastructure. Outdated water mains are prone to leaks and breaks, leading to disruptions in service and costly repairs. By replacing this water main the Village of Port Dickinson will enhance their water system's reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and improve water quality for residents.

"I am thrilled to have secured this funding for the Village of Port Dickinson’s water main replacement project,” said Senator Lea Webb. “The replacement of this water main is not only a structural upgrade; it is a commitment to the well-being and future of the Village’s residents. Safe, clean, and reliable water is fundamental to every aspect of daily life—from public health, to economic stability, and environmental sustainability. I will continue to work hard to secure the resources needed to support our local infrastructure.”

“We appreciate Senator Webb’s support of this vital infrastructure project,” said Mayor of the Village of Port Dickinson, Kevin Burke. “This grant has made it possible for the Village of Port Dickinson to proceed with the long overdue and incredibly significant water main replacement on Rochelle Rd. This new main is the secondary supply to the lower Village and will increase the volume of water available to our business district on Phelps St.”
