ITHACA, NY – Today, Senator Lea Webb and Assemblywoman Anna Kelles issued a statement addressing the ongoing labor negotiations between workers at Cornell represented by United Auto Workers and Cornell University.
Said Senator Lea Webb and Assemblymember Anna Kelles, “We stand with the UAW Local 2300 workers who are negotiating with Cornell for fair wages. These workers are the backbone of the university, working tirelessly as custodians, food service workers, and groundskeepers. As we welcome students and their families back to our community, we hope that both parties can reach a shared and an expeditious agreement that truly supports Cornell’s workers, addresses their needs, and avoids a disruptive strike.”
