Albany, Jan 23, 2024 – In a significant event held at the New York State Senate, Senator Luis Sepúlveda, along with his colleagues, had the honor of welcoming MLB legend Bartolo Colon and his family. This event recognized Mr. Colon’s exceptional contributions to baseball and his influence within the Dominican community.
Senator Sepúlveda presented the New York State Senate Resolution J1599 to Mr. Colon, highlighting his remarkable achievements in sports and his positive impact on the community. This resolution stands as a symbol of Mr. Colon’s lasting legacy and his role as a source of inspiration.
The ceremony was further enriched by the recognition of Mr. Colon by the New York State Assembly, and we extend our gratitude to Assembly Majority Leader Carl E. Heastie for his acknowledgment of this special occasion. Additionally, we are deeply thankful to New York Senate Majority Leader Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins for her support and leadership, which significantly contributed to the success of this event.
