Senator O'Mara joined WLEA radio's "Newsmaker" show this morning to discuss ongoing legislative hearings on Governor Hochul's proposed 2024-2025 state budget. 

The senator serves as the Ranking Member of the Senate Finance Committee overseeing the hearings. On the show, he highlights some of the fights brewing over the governor's proposed actions including how to address a burgeoning migrant crisis and the loss of manufacturing jobs statewide, as well as proposed prison closures and cuts in state support for local schools, and local roads and bridges.
