February 20, 2025

Get help with your property tax lien.
Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is hosting a property tax lien help day on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at his District Office, located at 84-16 Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven. Representatives from Neighborhood Housing Services of Queens (NHSQ) will be providing one-on-one care to constituents who live in Senator Addabbo’s District and have called his office in advance at 718-738-1111 to make an appointment.
Homeowners who have fallen behind on their property taxes, water, sewer, or other municipal property-related charges, may be at risk for being included in a lien sale. New York City is reinstating the tax lien sale, scheduled for this upcoming May. Time is going by fast and the window to get assistance is closing so don’t miss out on this important opportunity.
"As a dedicated advocate for our community, I am hosting this event to provide property owners with the information and resources they need to avoid property tax lien sales,” Addabbo said. “It’s crucial that we come together to support one another and ensure that everyone has access to the help they need to maintain their homes and financial stability."
Bring the following documents to the appointment:
Homeowner State ID
Household income Information (Last 4 paystubs, social security award letter, pension award letter)
Latest utility bills (Con-Edison, National Grid, DEP water bill).
This event is for constituents who live in Senator Addabbo’s District ONLY. A person's district can be determined by entering the home street address at the link below.
