SENATOR WALCZYK ANNOUNCES COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS

As the session progresses, Senator Walczyk announced on Monday that he has been tapped to serve on additional committees.  As a dedicated advocate for the people of New York, Senator Walczyk has been appointed as the Ranking Member on the Elections, Cities 2, and Commission on Rural Resources.  Additionally, he will serve on the Banks, Energy, Telecommunications, Housing, and Internet and Technology committees.

 

 “I am honored to take on these critical roles that will allow me to serve my constituents more effectively,” said Senator Walczyk. “Elections are the cornerstone of our democracy, and I am committed to ensuring that they are fair, transparent, and accessible to all New Yorkers. My focus on urban and rural development commissions will help create policies that foster growth and opportunity in every corner of our great state.” 

 

As the Ranking Member on the Elections committee, Senator Walczyk will work to safeguard election integrity and promote voter engagement. In his role on the Cities 2 committee, he will advocate for initiatives that support upstate communities, ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive. His position on the Commission on Rural Resources commission will allow him to champion policies that address the unique challenges faced by rural areas, promoting economic development and sustainability. 

 

Senator Walczyk’s involvement in the Banks, Energy, Telecommunications, Housing, and Internet and Technology committees aligns with his commitment to advancing New York’s economy and infrastructure. He plans to focus on rural housing affordability particularly in the Adirondacks, improving energy efficiency, and fostering innovation in technology and telecommunications. “I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to develop solutions that meet the needs of all New Yorkers,” added Senator Walczyk.
