Senator Gallivan to Serve on Multiple Committees

Senator Patrick M. Gallivan, (R-C-I, Elma) has been assigned to serve on a total of six committees in the New York State Senate for the legislative session that began January 8, 2025.
Senator Gallivan has been re-appointed the Ranking Member of the Senate Standing Committee on Health and will also serve as the Ranking Member of the Joint Task Force on Opioids, Addiction and Overdose Prevention.
"I look forward to returning in a leadership role on the Senate Health Committee, which faces another busy agenda as one of the most active committees in the Legislature,” Senator Gallivan said. “The work of the Joint Task Force on Opioids, Addiction and Overdose Prevention is also critical as the state continues to confront the challenges associated with drug use."
Senator Gallivan will also return as a member of Senate Standing Committees on Finance; Transportation; Codes; and Rules. He will also continue to serve as Senate Minority Whip within the Senate Minority Conference.
In the past, Senator Gallivan served as Chair of the Senate Committee on Crime Victims, Crime and Correction; the Senate Committee on Social Services; and the Committee on Commerce, Economic Development, and Small Business. He also served as Vice Chair of the Senate Education Committee.
