Packaging Reduction & Recycling Act and Bottle Bill Rally in NYS Capitol

It’s been 15 years since the state’s Returnable Container Act was expanded to include water, and it’s high time to take the next step and include the growing array of beverages that now exist and are currently thrown away daily.  I’m proud to sponsor the Bigger Better Bottle Bill, a game-changer in our efforts to boost glass, plastic, and aluminum recycling. It incentivizes returns, reduces landfill waste, supports bottle collectors, and keeps open redemption centers. I want to thank all our partners in this effort.
