Free Veterans Appreciation Dinner
- Veterans Appreciation
Senator Sue Serino will honor local veterans at free appreciation pasta dinners on Sunday, October 9th (RSVP by September 30th) at the Red Hook VFW and on October 23rd, (RSVP by October 14th) at American Legion Post 1302. Two seating times are available for each event, 2:00pm and 5:00pm. Thanks to the support of the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer PTSD Vet2Vet Veteran’s Peer Services, the event is free and open to our local veterans and a guest. Nonperishable food items are being collected at each event to donate to the Castle Point Food Pantry.
“While words are rarely enough to truly thank our veterans—and their families—for the countless sacrifices that they make on our behalf, it’s important that we take every opportunity to show our gratitude and that’s what these annual events are all about,” said Senator Serino. “These events also provide an important opportunity for our veterans to learn more about invaluable resources that are available to them here in our community, so we hope our veterans will come together and join us for an afternoon or evening of food, fun and camaraderie.”
