Live Tai Chi Class
- fall prevention
Fall Prevention Week is September 21st to the 25th, and this year I’m teaming up with the Dutchess County Office for the Aging, Nuvance Health and the Lower Hudson Valley Fall Prevention Network to host a series of educational events aimed at ensuring our seniors have the skills and tools necessary to reduce their chances of experiencing a fall!
Studies show that Tai Chi works to improve balance and can even limit your chance of falling, so on Thursday, September 24th, you can participate in an in-person Tai Chi class starting at 1 p.m. at Bowdoin Park (85 Sheafe Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). To help with social distancing, an RSVP is required and spaces are limited. To do so, please call the Dutchess County Office for the Aging at 845-486-2555.
