Memorial Day In Northeast Queens

New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) participated in a number of parades, ceremonies and observances throughout Northeast Queens over the Memorial Day weekend. Padavan, a retired colonel and 30-year veteran of the United State Army Corp of Engineers said, “We gather together as a community to reflect upon the supreme sacrifices of Americans who have given their lives in the defense of our freedoms. We honor the valiant service, bravery and courage of soliders who have served our great nation.”   Senator Padavan presents a Legislative resolution to George Grasso in recongition of being honored “Man of the Year” by the Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day Parade Committee on Monday May 25, 2009.
