SENATOR ADDABBO HONORS PHARMACIST FOR 30 YEARS OF DEDICATION TO RIDGEWOOD COMMUNITY
Queens, NY, October 23, 2012 – On Tuesday, October 16, NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., presented Ridgewood’s Edward Peters, RPh, owner and supervising pharmacist of Mil-Rue Chemists, 66-87 Fresh Pond Road, with a New York State citation to honor him for his generosity and for serving his Ridgewood community for 30 years.
The pharmacy’s employees wrote to their state senator requesting that some sort of proclamation should be awarded to their boss to recognize Peters for “…going out of his way to help the community, by getting the medications they need; donations of medical supplies to the local firehouse and to offer assistance to people out of his own pocket; donations to numerous charities, local houses of worship and to local schools. He has never said no to helping someone.”
