Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I—Shirley) Saturday marked the celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month by attending the annual Unidad Latina Conference in New York City.
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month for a 30-day period starting on September 15th and ending on October 15th in honor of the rich cultural contributions made by our nation’s Hispanic community.
“Unidad Latina provides a one of a kind forum for hundreds of community, business and government leaders to come together and exchange ideas to increase economic opportunity for our State’s growing Hispanic community,” said Senator Zeldin. “I was honored to have the opportunity to moderate ‘The Path to Job Growth: Economic Development and Job Opportunities in Latino Communities’ where we heard innovative ways to build and strengthen these partnerships.”
