On Friday, December 6, Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I—Shirley), along with Senators Phil Boyle, John Flanagan and Ken LaValle, hosted a successful Career Fair for over 450 area job seekers. The event, held at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, brought in 50 employers who were on hand to meet with applicants and recruit new employees.
“The importance of events like this cannot be undervalued,” said Senator Zeldin. “It provided a forum for job seekers and employers to come together, learn about one another and build long lasting relationships that may not have been established otherwise. It was incredibly encouraging to see such a significant turnout and it’s just one more thing my colleagues and I can do to keep our Long Island economy moving forward.”
