ALBANY—On March 20, 2014, Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I—Shirley) inducted a local hero into the NYS Senate's Veterans Hall of Fame: VFW State Commander Michael Pascal.
A resident of Suffolk County for the past 41 years, Commander Pascal served the U.S. Army from 1966 thru 1969. He honorably served in the Vietnam War and his passion for serving his fellow veterans has stayed with him far beyond his years of service in uniform.
“Please take a minute to join me in thanking those, like Commander Pascal, who have sacrificed their lives-on and off the battlefield-in defense of our nation, our Constitution, and our freedoms,” said Senator Zeldin. “Thank you to all of our servicemen and women for your selfless commitment.”
