Senator Bonacic Applauds State Investment of $150K for the Orange County Council on Alcoholism

(Albany, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that the Orange County Council on Alcoholism, Inc. has been awarded a $150K grant from the State of New York. The funding was announced as part of a $2.65 initiative to expand develop non-traditional addiction treatment support services throughout the state.
The funding will go toward establishing Community Coalitions and hiring Peer Engagement Programs in each of the state’s 10 economic development regions, to serve as resources for community-based addiction and recovery services.
“I’m pleased that the State has recognized the work that the Orange County Council on Alcoholism, Inc. does on behalf of those who are recovering from addiction,” said Senator Bonacic. “This grant will allow the organization to continue its mission of serving those who have been afflicted by the scourge of addiction.”
