"Today, in Connecticut, the law that bans bump stocks takes effect. This is a reminder of what is at stake this November. In New York the Senate Republicans have refused to take any real action on common sense gun laws.  The Senate Democrats have proposed a number of common sense gun solutions yet the Republicans have blocked these initiatives and continue to follow the lead of their Party leader Donald Trump and simply spout of NRA talking points.  We need a Senate that will protect New Yorkers not simply bury their heads in the sand."
