Senator Anthony Palumbo (R,C - New Suffolk) in coordination with the New York Blood Center is hosting a blood drive at Tanger Outlet Center in Riverhead, NY on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. All donors will receive a free blood donor t-shirt.
“Increasing Long Island’s blood supply is very important as we head into the summer months, when the need for blood donations is at its highest,” said Senator Anthony Palumbo. “The region’s blood supplies are critically low due to the pandemic and I once again urge local residents to donate to help their fellow Long Islanders in times of need.”

Donors presenting should wear a face mask or covering. Additional COVID-19 protocols include: all participants having their temperature taken, donors must be symptom-free for at least 14 days if recovered from COVID-19, may not donate if they have tested positive or experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, and may not donate if they are currently on self-quarantine restrictions. The blood drive will not be testing for COVID-19 so please contact your health care provider if you’d like to be tested.
