SENATOR WALCZYK APPOINTED RANKING MEMBER ON ELECTIONS COMMITTEE

(WATERTOWN, NY) - Last week was the start of the 2023-2024 NYS Legislative Session. Senator Walczyk received many key committee assignments, including being named Ranking Member of the Elections Committee. In this position, Senator Walczyk will have an essential role in advocating for an up to date electoral process while also establishing adequate resources for rural areas in New York State.

“Now more than ever it’s vital to have safe and secure elections. I look forward to restoring faith in our electoral process for the people of the 49th Senate District and the entire State of New York,” said Senator Walczyk. “Voting is a sacred right that we as Americans have the privilege to exercise, and I’m honored to be named ranker on the Elections Committee.”

Often there are issues rural areas face that tend to fall on deaf ears, however, Senator Walczyk has proven to be a fighter. Being named ranker on the Elections Committee and knowing that one size does not fit all is vitally important to our region. His ability to build meaningful relationships will lead us to accomplish wonderful things for our area.”
