Senator Felder's Statement marking one year since the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack
October 7, 2024
Senator Simcha Felder releases the following statement marking one year since the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack on Israel:
“On October 7, 2023, on the Jewish holiday of Simchas Torah, unimaginable atrocities were perpetrated against innocent children, women and men of all ages. It is unbelievably heartbreaking that one year later, 97 hostages, including American citizens, are still held captive. And Israel, America’s ally in the Middle East, remains engaged in a battle of biblical proportions, not only for its existence, but for an end to global terrorism. We see very clearly the hand of G-d, the one and only on whom we can rely. We see our friends and our enemies. Our eyes are open. During these auspicious days, I pray that the year ahead will bring abundant blessings to the good and decent people of the world, and that on Simchas Torah 2024/5785, we will dance like we’ve never danced before.”
