Senator Fuschillo Attends First Game At New Farmingdale State Baseball Stadium

Charles J. Fuschillo Jr.

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) was recently invited to attend the inaugural baseball game played at the new baseball field at Farmingdale State University. Senator Fuschillo has played a vital role in securing funding for the project and for future improvements to athletic opportunities at the university.

The new baseball field, which has newly installed turf and drainage, will be outfitted with new seating, dugouts and field lighting. This project is part of Farmingdale State University’s master plan to renovate and expand the athletic environment it offers Long Island student-athletes.

"This new stadium will deliver a state-of-the-art facility to the students of Farmingdale State University and will serve as a great resource for the entire Farmingdale community," said Senator Fuschillo. "The school, in recent years, has been growing and delivering more to their students and this is another step up for this fine university. I look forward to watching many more of our young athletes play on it."

Senator Fuschillo has been heavily involved in the recent growth of Farmingdale State University, which has been lead by the leadership of Farmingdale State University President, Dr. Jonathan Gibralter. Senator Fuschillo’s work in gaining state funding for the school have been essential in the growth of the Broadhollow Bioscience Park, the creation of a Fuel Cell Learning Center and the funding of a new flight simulator for the school’s Aviation Education Center.
