New York State Senate Deputy Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) today presented a $15,000 grant to the Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center located in Rockville Centre.
"By offering affordable child care for working families, the Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center provides an important service to the community," said Senator Skelos. "The Center enables working parents to begin their children’s education in a safe, educational environment and I’m pleased that this state grant will enable the Center to help local families."
Established in 1972, the Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center provides children with a warm, nurturing, safe environment, rooted in education, where daily learning takes place. The Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and is a member of the Child Care Council of Nassau, Inc.
"I am grateful to Senator Skelos for the continued support he has given Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center," said Jeannine Rey, Executive Director of the Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center. "This grant is an affirmation of the work we do on behalf of the children in our community."
Senator Skelos obtained this grant of $15,000 from the state for the Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center to help the center maintain and enhance its services.
