Podcasting is a new technology that enables the Smithtown Library to record a message and broadcast it via its web site. This presents an opportunity for residents to hear from elected officials and others about current events and issues that are relevant to the community.

"Technology that provides me the ability to speak directly to the residents of Smithtown is extremely helpful and I am happy to take part in this open forum. I thank the Smithtown Library for giving me this opportunity and for offering this service to our community," stated Senator Flanagan.
