Vallone Marches With Caucus In Columbus Day Parade - Next Edition!
City Councilmembers Vincent Gentile and Daniel Halloran, Columbus Day Parade Grand Marshal Maria Bartiromo, state Senator Diane Savino and Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr.
City Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr. marched along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan between 42nd and 72nd Streets in the 66th annual Columbus Day Parade October 11. Vallone was joined by Councilmembers Vincent Gentile and Daniel Halloran, respectively the president and a member of the council’s Italian American Caucus, formed to advocate for and represent Italian Americans in New York City. Vallone is Caucus treasurer.
This year’s parade featured CNBC host Maria Bartiromo as Grand Marshal and more than 100 floats. The parade, viewed by tens of thousands of spectators who lined Fifth Avenue, ranks among the largest celebrations of Italian American heritage to be held annually.
