SENATOR MARCELLINO & THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL SERVICES SPONSOR PROGRAM TO ASSIST HURRICANE SANDY VICTIMS WITH INSURANCE ISSUES
Senator Carl L. Marcellino will be partnering with the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) in sponsoring a program to assist residents whose property was damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
Residents who need assistance with storm-related insurance issues will be able to speak individually with DFS representatives about their situation. Residents will be assisted on a first-come, first served basis. No appointments are required.
The Department representatives will meet with residents inside the agency’s Mobile Command Center in the Oyster Bay – East Norwich Library parking lot, 89 East Main Street, Oyster Bay on Thursday, December 20th from 9am – 5 pm
Individuals who are unable to attend but need assistance with storm-related insurance issues can call the Department of Financial Services’ insurance disaster hotline at 1-800-339-1759. The hotline is operated 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
