STATEMENT ON FAILURE TO PASS HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF PACKAGE
“Obviously, too many of the Representatives have become so jaded by the Washington dysfunction that they have lost sight of why they were elected; to help people. If any of the individuals blocking the Sandy aid could witness firsthand the devastation and suffering, they would comprehend the severity of the situation. By putting politics before people, the House of Representatives has failed, not just Long islanders, but every American. Now we hear that votes will take place on January 9th and 15th it cannot be one day later. It has taken far too long to help struggling families get their lives back.” said Senator Carl L.
