STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A beloved Staten Island entrepreneur, motorcycle enthusiast and mom who was tragically paralyzed in a 2020 crash has died, the Advance/SILive.com has learned.
Diana Petrone, 46, of Richmond, is being remembered this week by family, friends and former colleagues for her determination and success as a business owner, which gained national acclaim over the years; along with her goodwill in the community as a volunteer with a local charity.
“The entire Dongan Hills community is mourning the loss...” said state Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, (D-North Shore/Brooklyn), a once regular customer of Petrone and self-described admirer of her business acumen. “Diana’s story hits close to home and my heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and all those who knew and loved her.”
