Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) and Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) have agreed upon a friendly wager on this weekend’s Class AA State championship football game between the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders and the Auburn Maroons. Senator Larkin is offering a gift package (T-shirt, hat, and mug) from the Orange County Choppers custom motorcycle company, and Senator Nozzolio has offered an assortment of pies from the world famous Maggie’s Pies in Auburn.

Senator Larkin said, "We’re all looking forward to an exciting contest between two great teams. But even though Mike Nozzolio is a friend and a great senator, I think I’ll be enjoying those delicious pies on Saturday night. Go, Crusaders!"

Senator Nozzolio said, "After five straight playoff wins, including Saturday’s 20-18 win over John Marshall, the Auburn Football team is headed to the Class AA State football championship, and I look forward to cheering the Maroons onto victory. Saturday’s game will be the school’s first-ever state title game and I am very confident that they will prove that they are the best football team in New York State."

The championship game is this Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at the Syracuse Carrier Dome.
