Senator Thompson's Week of Upcoming Events

Buffalo, NY- NYS Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties), will be sponsoring many community activities throughout the week. 

Legislative Reception
This is a great opportunity to network and meet experts in renewable energy and the environmental field.  Light refreshments will be provided by Chef Johnny of Adrienne’s Catering.  The reception will take place on Thursday, May 14 at 65 Court Street in the Walter J. Mahoney Building from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. 

First Annual Relay for Life
Relay for Life sponsored by The American Cancer Society and Senator Antoine M. Thompson.  Features a reception, music, theme laps and a special luminary ceremony to honor cancer survivors and remembering those who lost the fight.  The Relay for Life will be held on Friday, May 15 and Niagara Falls High School (4455 Porter Road) from 3:00 to 10:00 pm.

The 8th Annual Spelling Bee
The Spelling Bee is an educational and recreational event that seeks to reinforce educational values and rewards children for pursuing academic excellence.  All participating students in grades five through eight are eligible for the spelling bee contest.  The Spelling Bee will be held at Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society (25 Nottingham Court) from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
