(Staten Island) Senator Savino invites you to Summer at the Pier, a free movie series. For more information, please visit www.downtownsi.com
WHERE THE COASTGUARD SITE?
Summer at the Pier will be held at the Coastguard Site (former Lighthouse Museum site) in Downtown Staten Island. Nestled along the waterfront between the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and the Bay Street Landing residential area, the old Coastguard site is a public space that includes a plaza and fishing pier. Through the hard work and partnership of the DSIC, NYC Economic Development Corporation, and Community Board 1, the Coastguard site will now be open for arts and cultural programming for the first time in 20 years.
Please note there will be construction near both the SI Ferry Terminal side and the Bay Street/Hannah entrances. The will be DSIC posted signage at both locations directing the public to the site.
From the Staten Island Ferry Terminal:
Exit the ferry downstairs near the “Kiss and Ride” walk up Ramp C and there will be a pedestrian entrance leading into the Coastguard site plaza and pier. Signage will be posted. Paid parking is available at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal: Park and walk towards Bay Street from Richmond Terrance and down Ramp C to the pedestrian entrance that leads into the Coastguard site.
From Bay Street and Hannah Street intersection:
Take Bay Street to Hannah Street. Continue down and bear left onto Murray/Hulbert. The old Cromwell Center will be straight ahead – there will be limited parking available on Murray/Hulbert and Front Street. Continue towards Bay Street Landing residential area to the waterfront to your right. The walkway to the Coastguard site will straight ahead; Bay Street Landing will be to your left and the waterfront will be to your right. Walk 200ft to the entrance to the plaza and pier. Signage will be posted to direct you.
