Martin J. Golden
September 13, 2010
Brooklyn - State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing plans to host a town hall meeting for the communities of Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, located at 1518-73rd Street in Brooklyn.
Senator Golden has invited representatives of the Department of Transportation, the Department of Education, the Parks Department, the Department of Buildings, the Department of Finance and the 62nd Precinct of the New York City Police Department to attend and address issues and answer questions from attending residents.
Senator Golden stated, “I have always found town halls to be an informative forum for all those who attend. It is very important to bring city services and agency representatives directly to the people to address concerns and ask questions about our taxes, our building codes, our parks, our public safety. Be a question about your sidewalk, or a tree or a local, or your property taxes, residents are encouraged to attend and be part of this meeting.”
All are welcome to attend. For more information on the meeting, contact Senator Golden’s District Office at (718) 238-6044 or e-mail Senator Golden at golden@nysenate.gov
