Senator Golden Annual Memorial Ceremony on American Veterans Memorial Pier to Commemorate the Tenth Anniversary of the Attacks of September 11th 2001

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) will host his annual September 11th Memorial to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the tragedy of September 11, 2001, on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. on the American Veteran’s Memorial Pier, 69th Street (Bay Ridge Avenue) and Shore Road.

More than 1,000 residents of the community are expected to attend the event which will feature a program of inspirational speeches and patriotic song selection, as well as a candle lighting vigil. Family members of those lost at the World Trade Center will also be in attendance. Flowers and candles have been donated by local florists and churches to support the event.

The American Veterans Memorial Pier is home to Brooklyn’s official monument honoring those lost on September 11, 2001 known as “Brooklyn Remembers”.
