Senator Owen H. Johnson presented a New York State Flag to retired Nassau County Police Detective George Duguid and his wife, Diane of Deer Park. The flag was taken to the International Police Association’s Friendship Week in Edinburgh, Scotland by the Duguids on August 5, 2011 where it was proudly displayed alongside the American flag to represent all New Yorkers on the tenth anniversary of 9/11. Over 120 police officers from nine countries attended.
