Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently joined with Freeport Mayor Andrew Hardwick and Village of Freeport employees and volunteers at the Freeport Recreation Center to help families in need.

Senator Fuschillo joined Mayor Hardwick and Village of Freeport employees and volunteers in providing free Thanksgiving turkeys and non-perishable food to residents in need. Senator Fuschillo worked with Governor Cuomo’s office to bring turkeys to Freeport.

“Many Freeport families are still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy. This program is another way to lend a helping hand to these families and make these trying times a little easier for them,” said Senator Fuschillo.

There are ongoing services at the Freeport Recreation Center to help provide assistance to Village residents in need. Village of Freeport residents who would like more information about these services can call Mayor Hardwick’s office at 516-377-2252 or the Freeport Recreation Center at 516-377-2314.
